How did I get here?

How did I get here? is Circus Family's first solo exhibition in De School, Amsterdam. On display were four installations, of which three were specifically built for De School.

My roll was the design, development, build and install of the technical aspects: the interactive light systems, the kinetic elements and custom relais boxes.

The hallway from the entrance housed an installation made out of 16 reflective light panels driven by a relais system playing patterns based on noise generators.

The main room housed 'Time isn't holding up', a modular interactive audiovisual installation that reacts to everyone that enters by filling up with gradient animations. .

Next to this, a new installation called 'Same as it ever was'. Inspired by TRIPH, this installation wakes up when visitors approach and fills with colour while slowly rotating. Accompanied by a 4-channel surround soundscape.

Finally, 'Letting the days go by' is an installation made out of coloured yarn and steel. Multiple light were programmed in patterns to create different light and shadow plays centered around the installation.
